Essential Qualification For (SI. No. 1 to 71: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-Il of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-Il of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Schedule-VI or equivalent. Recognized DNB qualification awarded by National Board of Examination. For SI.No. 3 & 6: D.M. in Neurology of an Indian University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Essential Experience for Associate Professor: (i) At least 05 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized teaching institution after requisite Post-graduate qualification. For Associate Professor (Neurology): At least five years experience as Sr. Resident /Tutor/Demonstrator /Registrar/Lecturer in the concerned specialty in a recognized teaching institution after the first Post-graduate qualification. Desirable: 2 Research/Published work in indexed/national journals.

Essential Experience for Assistant Professor: (i) At least 03 years teaching experience in the concerned specialty as Lecturer/Tutor/Registrar /Demonstrator/Sr. Resident in a recognized institution/college after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification.
Note 1: In the case of holders of D.M. qualification of 05 years duration, the period of Senior PG residency rendered in the last part of the said D.M. shall be counted towards requirement of 05 years experience.
Note 2: Teaching experience in any other post like the post of general Duty Medical Officer/Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.
Note 3: Out of 2 (two) posts of Assistant Professor (Psychiatry), 01 (one) post is reserved for PWD category OL candidates with following Physical Standards:

Essential Qualification for Professor: (i) First or Second Class (55%) Master's Degree in Nursing/Psychology (ii) M. Phil, in Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing)/Clinical Psychology/Medical & Social Psychology hi) Ph.D/D.Sc. in Nursing/Psychology from a recognized Institution / University.
Essential Experience for Professor: i) 12 years standing in profession with teaching & research experience out of which 4 years as Associate Professor in Psychiatric Nursing/ Clinical Psychology in a recognized department/centre.
Desirable: i) 05 (five) publications in indexed journals as first/corresponding author.
Essential Qualification for Associate Professor i) First or Second Class (55%) Master’s Degree in Social Work/Nursing/Psychology (ii) M. Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work/Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing)/Clinical Psychology /Medical & Social Psychology iii) Ph. D / D.Sc. in Social Work/Nursing/Psychology from a recognized Institution / University.
Essential Experience for Associate Professor: i) 5 years teaching & research experience as Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Social Work/Psychiatric Nursing/Clinical Psychology in recognized department/centre. Desirable: 03 (three) publications in indexed journals as first/corresponding author.

Essential Experience : 5 years clinical, teaching & research experience as Psychiatric Social Worker / Clinical Psychologist in a Psychiatry Department / Recognized Teaching Institution after M. Phil. degree OR 3 years teaching / clinical / research experience in the concerned subject after Ph.D. degree.
Essential Qualification for Psychiatric Social Worker: i) First or Second Class Master’s Degree in concerned specialty from a recognized Institution / University. ii) M. Phil. in PSW (2 years Course) in concerned specialty from a recognized university /Institution.
Essential Experience: 2 years teaching & research experience as PSW in a Mental Hospital, Child Guidance or Psychiatric Department of a General Hospital/ recognized teaching Institutions.
Desirable: i) Research /published work in indexed journals. ii) Working knowledge on local /regional language. Note: Essential experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable.
* Appointment to the post of Psychiatric Social Worker will be subject to outcome of the pending court case.
GENERAL CONDITIONS (1) Candidates who do not fulfill requirement of advertisement need not apply. (2) All Medical Qualifications should be recognized under MCI. (3) All applicants for Non-Medical post should have at least 55% marks in aggregate in Master’s degree besides other qualification. (4) Applicant of Clinical Psychology Department should be a registered Professional of RCI under the category of ‘Clinical Psychologist.’ (5) Allowances will be as per Central Government rates as adopted by this Institute from time to time and NPA will be admissible in case of Medical Posts only (6) Persons with Disabilities are required to produce the physically handicapped certificate (with degree of disability) in original issued by the Competent Authority (i.e. Medical Board duly constituted by the Central Govt. or State Govt.) at the time of interview. (7) Candidates working in State/Central Govt. / PSU/Autonomous Body must apply through proper channel or submit “No objection certificate” (8) Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable in case of SC / ST / OBC/PWD candidates as per the Central Government norms. (9) In case of deputation, vigilance clearance/ integrity certificate from parent the department will be required. (10) Appointments in case of direct recruitment will be on probation for 2 (two) years (11) Incomplete application or applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected. (12) The application in prescribed Format is to be accompanied with a Bank Draft of Rs. 100/- to be drawn in favour of the Director, LGBRIMH, Tezpur and self attested copies of all certificates/one PP size photograph so as to reach to the Administrative Officer, LGBRIMH, Tezpur-784001 latest by 27.02.2015. (13) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
